Here's one of our favourites, written by mel8592. Congratulations, a signed copy of the Beautiful World Tour Edition album will be in the post to you soon!
The competition is now closed, well done to all our winners!
...And now, the end is near, and so Take That face, the final curtain...
For the past 9 months or so since tickets went on sale, I've been looking forward to this day, and finally it was here. This being my one and only date of the tour and also the last night, made it really special for me.
During the journey to Manchester as we were driving through the Stockport area into the city, I noticed some roads called:
Howard Avenue
Barlow Road
Delmere Road
I was thinking wow it must be a sign. Also I travelled along the FAMOUS Mancunian Way
Anyway on with the show. I got there half way through Tim Daniels set which was okay, and I thought Sophie was good at getting the crowd going, even though I don't normally like her. I enjoyed her performance of All I Want For Christmas Is You when her little boy came on stage in an elf outfit. Sooo cute!
Then it was here! The lights went down. The musicians were on the B-Stage. Lloyd had his telescope out. The video was playing. And then Take That popped up from their podiums! I jumped up and down n screamed like hell at this point, then of course sang along loudly (badly) .
I wont go through the whole set list i will just pick out some highlights.
The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant!! Everyone in the crowd was enjoying themselves, real party atmosphere! And we were LOUD with a capital L!
Markie giving out his presents was really funny. I want to know the relevance of giving Jay the Gloria Estefan CD, Was it a joke or does he really like her?? Gary's cardie was funny.
Pole Dancing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Need I say anymore but Jay was looking well HOT! & my sister who is normally a Mark fan said he was looking fit too!
I love the graphics n lighting they use throughout the show. It looks really beautiful when you're in block 208 looking out at all these lights and graphics. Also the special effects were amazing!
When Jay said we've got a surprise for you, I thought it was gonna be Mancunian Way. (My mum thought Robbie was going to come on LOL) But it turned out to be.....Jingle Bells which was really funny! I didn't know Howard could play the trumpet too! They've got some right hidden talents between them!
Loved the singalong! It's really nice to hear the crowd singing so loud to all the old songs! And also Merry Xmas Everyone by Slade!
The pink light up xmas tree on Gaz's white piano looked pretty!
Wooden Boat was amazing! I've watched countless videos of this throughout the tour and it was definitely the best vocal I've heard from him! BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLL!
Then Give Good Feeling! One of my fave bits of the show, and the look on my sister's face when she realised what song it was was priceless, epically when they did the crawl!
Silent night was beautiful too! Really got us into the Christmas spirit with all the Christmas songs dropped into the set!
Dancers were amazing, I love the dance routines during all of the songs too! I would go through song-by song but I would just say it was all AMAZING because it truly was! I'm never going to forget that night in my life!
It was my Mum & Dad's first TT concert and they loved it! Me and my sis went last year so knew what to expect but she did not know anything about the set list or owt! I don't know how she could wait that long to find out tbh, as I waited all of 10 mins hehehe!
Anyway I've rambled about crap but it was effin amazing from start to finish, so much so I didn't want it to end! I danced, sang, waved, clappped, stood up the entire night and had an absolute ball!
Thanks guys for putting on such a brilliant show, and I hope it won't be too long before you're back on stage in Manchester again!
