It's a BEAUTIFUL TAKE THAT WORLD

The Countdown was over. 23rd November at SECC was finally here. Having seen the show in Belfast I knew what to expect but Glasgow totally blew me away. Both the crowd and the boys were on top form so I knew I would be a good night.

As Lou and I took to our seats waiting for the show to start we attracted quite a lot of attention from the people around us. What with out BELFAST THATTERS ON TOUR t-shirts and blow up globe with Take That rule our world over it, they could see we meant business!!!!

Having seen the show my eyes were firmly fixed on the 4 podiums on the stage?even spotting Howard's bum sticking out the side of his! As TT launched into REACH OUT with its political theme the crowd went crazy, but why do none of our politicians look like the boys?! After reach out we then indulged in their "little fantasy" of IT ONLY TAKE A MINUTE, with every woman in the place wishing they could be a dancer receiving a lap dance from one of the boys. Only thing missing from this one was Jay and Howard not doing their pole dance. Very disappointed as I was eagerly waiting to snap this part!

Howard took the centre stage with BEAUTIFUL WORLD and the Gary introduced the song which brought our boys back, PATIENCE, much to the delight of the crowd who showed their appreciation with the stamping of 10,000 feet and word perfect singing. The delight on the boys' face was clear to see. Mark was next to take centre stage with HOLD ON after telling the crowd how much has changed since the last tour. He has Elwood who is now 1 (many awwws from the fans), Gary has written a book, Jason was best man for his brother who was in the audience and Howard has recovered from a collapsed lung (more awwws and lots of applause) They then discussed Star Stories between themselves where Howard replied in a "Chewbacca" style and had the audience in stitches! After Hold On we were treated to I'D WAIT FOR LIFE which used the graphics from the video beautifully. There was definitely not a dry eye between Lou and me.

Lloyd Wade then took to the B stage and once the crowd realised that this was the start of RELIGHT MY FIRE they went nuts. The song was set to a voodoo theme with the boys lighting various parts of their costumes on fire, apart from Mark's hat which wouldn't light and the look on his face was priceless.

With the dramatic lights a giant ball descended over the B stage at the back of the arena and the quote from Stardust began. Next the boys came on stage to perform RULE THE WORLD, their latest single. The walkway began to be lowered and the realisation that the boys were going to cross it got one of the biggest cheers of the night! Next came a new slow version of COULD IT BE MAGIC with the dancers taking to part of the stage which was suspended and moved while they showered the fans with confetti. It was then time for a bit of audience participation with the boys testing our knowledge of Take That and Party singing DO WHAT YOU LIKE complete with us doing the dance moves and A MILLION LOVE SONGS which included Gary taking to the piano to accompany us singing. Next was BACK FOR GOOD, a classic which we all sang word for word. Mark then asked what was the name of their second album at which point Lou and I screamed everything changes much to a very bemused look from those around us, I don't think they were expecting 2 hyper girls beside them!!! The boys then sang EVERYTHING CHNAGES and returned to the main stage.

Next it was Jason's time to shine and shine he did. Before he could start to sing the crowd went wild chanting Jason, Jason, Jason and all he could do was beam from the stage, bless him! He delivered a flawless performance of WOODEN BOAT and even kept his eyes open for one line of the song?proud of you Jason!

"That's the time to be the first one on the dance floor" led us into a dancy GIVE GOOD FEELING and Howard in his DJ box came forward. The boys delighted us all by dropping and crawling along the floor?old 90's Take That style. SURE followed give good feeling and then we were introduced to the dancers and the band where Lou and I gave the biggest scream for Dawn Barlow.

Next the screen came on stage for the classic anthem NEVER FORGET where we were treated to a history lesson with various characters and historic figures coming out of the stage while the boys walked and ran on the treadmills before they left the stage for the final 2 songs of the evening

Back on stage for a theatrical performance of SHINE and finally PRAY which brought a tear to my eye and a shiver down my back, while the audience all waved their hands in the air and sang their little hearts out.

The Beautiful World tour has given all the boys their time to shine and it has just got better and better since Belfast. If they never tour again then I have been left with a lifetime of memories that I will never forget so thank you Mark, Howard, Gary and Jason. It was even worth my flight being cancelled and me being stranded in Glasgow. It most definitely is a Beautiful Take That World.
