Wow, what an amazing experience!
After eating dinner (where the speakers at the restaurant played "Beautiful World" and some cover of Robbie's "Angels") my boyfriend and I arrived at Forum around 5 pm. We had front stage tickets and it was about hundred people in front of us, so we had a good feeling about getting a great spot. It was freezing and just when we thought it couldn't get any colder it started to snow. Suddenly people started to scream, and we soon understood why. The doors opened and people ran inside. I dragged my boyfriend (who looked a little scared ) to the front row a little to the left, right in front of Gary.
After an hour Jamie Scott entered the stage. He was alright but I couldn't really concentrate since I was too exited about what was going to happen later on.

A few minutes after 8 pm the famous podiums appeared and everyone were screaming so loud! You could feel the vibrations through the floor and I thought the roof was gonna go off. It was a magical feeling and you could just feel everyone's excitement. My heart was beating so fast and I couldn't believe I was actually there. I've never seen them live so it felt really weird standing there. When they suddenly popped up from the podiums and started singing Reach Out it really hit me. I wasn't watching my computer - or TV screen, this was real! They walked down the stairs and Gary was standing in front of me. I thought to myself, "wow Gary's really a small person". For some reason I imagined him as a little bigger.
There's an image I think will be forever burned in my mind. While standing there thinking to myself how small Gary looked in person, he just looked right at me. Surreal moment. I shouted to my boyfriend about what just happened and he just laughed. A moment later an even smaller person swished past me, it was the very person in all my teenage dreams - Markie.

Next number was the sexy routine of It only takes a minute. The dancers were great although I was quite bummed Jay didn't do the pole dance. But I then told myself not to be so selfish, there was probably a reason for him not doing it.
The tunes of Beautiful World started to fill the air. Everyone went mad and we were exited to see and hear Howard singing his song. I was so happy for him since he obviously was feeling better. Gary introduced the next song as the one who brought them all back together again. Of course people knew what he was talking about and screamed if possible even louder. I was dancing and singing along to Patience, it was such a great feeling. I knew Gary's voice was beautiful, but to hear him sing Patience live was amazing.

Introducing Hold On, Mark spoke to us in Danish which was a nice touch even though I'm from Sweden. I understood everything so he did great reading from his piece of paper. They mentioned it being the last concert of the European tour so we should all make it a special one. People of course started to scream. They all laughed and said we were indeed a loud crowd. Mark did a phenomenal job next and he seemed to be enjoying himself. Next was I'd Wait for Life. I've loved this song from the first time I heard it. I think it's beautiful and Gary is truly at his best performing this well written song. I enjoyed every moment, and the visual effects were very peaceful to watch.

Everyone turned to the B-stage as Floyd in his amazing costume started warming up Relight My Fire for us. I doubt anyone was quiet at this time. Gary, Mark and Jason appeared on the main stage and everything felt just as it should at a moment like that. Floyd jumped in with Gnarls Barkley's Crazy which was an excellent move of the guys to include. He then lit Jay's feet, Mark's hat and Gary's arm on fire. I noticed Gary look a little scared for a moment there as the flame got a little too close to his face.
After that we got a hint from the starlight on the screen on what was coming on next. At that moment I felt pure joy as Rule the World is one of my favorite songs. I can't possible describe all the feelings I had during this song. Everything was so unbelievable beautiful and creative. The guys walked over a bridge lowered from the ceiling to the center stage looking smashin' in long black coats. The lightening effects during their time at the B-stage were stunning. They sang Could it be Magic and my boyfriend has his hands around my waist and we were just standing there holding each other. Let me tell you it was a magical moment! Next someone (can't remember who) said something like, let's see if you remember some of the old songs..."So you can do what you like." Everyone sang/shouted as loud as they could, "Do what you like!". Then Mark continued with Babe. We sang almost half the song while Mark laughed and the others tried to move on with the next song down the memory lane. Loved that bit! They had a hard time stopping us from singing the whole song so Jason forgot what he was gonna do next.

Next was Back for Good which was an experience beyond what I imagined. Gary's voice was so smooth and as always he did a great job here, so did everyone in the audience as well!!! Everything Changes was memorable as well and I didn't even think of Robbie once as I thought I would. I couldn't see the part when Gary and Howard walked down to the people surrounding them. But I'm happy those people got some up close moments as well. Gary and Howard then walked back to the main stage. I was wondering were the other two were holding of when Mark ran over the bridge and slid down the ramp followed by Jason who crossed it in a much calmer and safer way.

It was time for one of the thing I was looking forward to the most - Wooden Boat. Jay talked for quite a while before and after this song. You could tell he was touched with all the love he got from the crowd, it seemed as he yet again lost his words. Everyone around me was singing along with him except me. I was just standing there enjoying every moment. As I write this it almost brings tears to my eyes, it was that beautiful!

Give Good Feeling was of course another highlight. The beat got everyone on their feet dancing. The dance routine on stage was sharp and cool. Gary looked hotter then ever in his hoddie while Mark and Jason danced their cute little butts away. I was impressed to say the least!
Sure merged in quite nicely and although it was never a favorite sing of mine, the guys certainly changed my opinion about it yesterday, especially when Mark threw himself out in the crowd. Loved it!

A white folding fan shaped "screen" extended itself and next was Never Forget. I believe I've explained how loud people have been through the whole show. But this time it was madness all over. People sang so loud and stretched their hands up towards the roof on "Never". I felt like on top of the world. I was so glad Howard was there singing and the other three looked so happy to be singing this song as the band they are. Gary had this proud look on his face, it made me smile.

They said goodbye and it went dark yet again. Of course I'm sure everyone knew it wasn't over yet. I almost had to cover my ears since the screaming sound entering was almost too loud to take. It was a great feeling though. Soon they were back on stage and everyone knew what was coming on next. Mark did such a great thing with Shine. He was singing his heart out it seemed, and stumping around backwards looking kind of similar to a jumping bunny. Too cute! Yet again, I got the impression of pride from Gary.
Sadly enough the last song was about to begin. The first words of Pray gave me chills all over! It was some emotional minutes there. I knew it was soon gonna be over very soon, but at the same time I tried to shove those feelings a side and enjoy every bit of it. With a tear of joy running down my cheek I sang so loud I thought my voice was gonna give in.
I'm so cold and all alone...and it was over. They all said their goodbyes and Mark said he hoped it wasn't gonna be the last time for them performing in Denmark. Of course you all know by now how the crowd reacted to that one, no need for me to explain. They left the stage and the lights went on after that. People started making their ways towards the entrance.

I got a nice black t-shirt and the official 2008 calendar. Get this, my boyfriend bought a key chain for himself. This coming from a guy adoring Metallica and such. He said his co-workers had been teasing him all week for going with me so he's gonna wear my t-shirt to work tomorrow. He really loved the concert and was indescribably impressed with everything.

I had such an wonderful time at my very first concert ever!! I'm glad there was no pushing and shoving. Instead people were apologising if they bumped in to each other.
It's been over twelve years since my mum told me I couldn't go, and to finally be able to see them was beyond my wildest dreams. I got to share it with the man I love which was a big bonus. I'll cherish every moment of this very special day in my life!
